Heartland Pawnbrokers is the premier pawn shop in Kansas City and all of eastern Kansas. Our team of highly skilled professionals work hard every day to give our customers exceptional value on items that we sell, exceptional value on things we buy, and exceptional value on items left in our care—whether it’s a day or several months!

At Heartland Pawnbrokers, we realize that when people come to us, they either want to clear out some things, or they need some money to get by. We get it. That’s why we talk to you, not at you. We don’t know the story behind the person, but we know that everyone has one. It makes us problem solvers, not wheeler dealers.

Heartland Pawnbrokers is a locally owned family business. Steve and Dave, founded the business in 2010 and work the stores daily! Dave’s two sons Colin & Blaine – who grew up helping in the stores – were all they needed to get started!

Our first employee – Andrew – is still with us today. With vibrant personalities, and the company’s strong belief in building relationships, we quickly outgrew our original space and moved to a larger facility in 2012. That same year, we opened our second store in Overland Park. Our Missouri customers could get to us even quicker!

Fast forward to 2018. Heartland Pawnbrokers had the opportunity to acquire the customers from Joe Flynn’s Quality Pawn in Overland Park and to buy Sunflower Pawn in Lawrence Kansas. This brought us to the three locations and fifteen employees who we consider to be our friends and family—people that we have been blessed to work with today.
